House System @ Swargarani

At Swargarani, we pride ourselves on fostering a sense of community, camaraderie, and healthy competition among our students. One of the cornerstones of our school’s ethos is our House System, which provides students with a platform to showcase their talents, develop leadership skills, and build lasting friendships. Here’s an overview of our vibrant House System:

  1. House Structure:

Our school is divided into several houses, each named after distinguished figures or values that embody our school’s ethos and values. These houses serve as smaller communities within our larger school family.

  1. House Allocation:

Upon joining our school, each student is assigned to one of the houses. Siblings and family members often belong to the same house, fostering a sense of continuity and tradition.

  1. House Leadership:

Each house is led by a team of House Captains, Vice Captains, and Prefects selected from among the senior students. These student leaders play a crucial role in organizing house activities, fostering team spirit, and serving as role models for their peers.

  1. Inter-House Competitions:

Throughout the academic year, our houses compete in a variety of inter-house competitions and events across sports, academics, arts, and community service. These competitions promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition among students.

  1. Sports Day:

Our annual Sports Day is a highlight of the school calendar, where houses compete against each other in track and field events, relay races, and team sports. Students proudly represent their houses, donning their house colors and cheering on their teammates.

  1. Cultural Events:

Cultural events such as music, dance, drama, and debate competitions provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents and creativity. Houses collaborate to choreograph performances, design sets, and prepare presentations, fostering a sense of collaboration and artistic expression.

  1. House Points System:

Throughout the year, students earn house points for their participation, achievements, and contributions to various activities and events. These points are tallied and celebrated, with the house accumulating the most points awarded the House Cup at the end of the academic year.

  1. House Spirit and Identity:

Our houses cultivate a strong sense of identity and pride among students, who wear their house colors with pride and rally together in support of their housemates. House assemblies, meetings, and bonding activities strengthen the bonds of friendship and belonging.

  1. Mentorship and Support:

Older students in each house act as mentors and role models for younger students, offering guidance, support, and encouragement as they navigate their school journey. This mentorship fosters a sense of community and fosters relationships across grade levels.

  1. Alumni Engagement:

Our alumni remain connected to their respective houses even after graduation, often returning to school events and offering support and mentorship to current students. The bonds forged within our houses endure beyond the school years, creating a lifelong connection to our school community.

The House System at Swargarani is more than just a tradition; it’s a cornerstone of our school’s culture and identity. Through collaboration, competition, and camaraderie, our houses inspire students to strive for excellence, embrace diversity, and make lasting contributions to our school and society. Join us as we celebrate the spirit of teamwork, leadership, and friendship within our vibrant House System!

Swargarani School and PU College believes in the all-round development of its students & is synonymous with academic excellence. At the same time we ensure that we give ample opportunities to our students to excel in sports and other non-academic pursuits. We constantly encourage and urge our students to pursue various co- curricular  activities  to hone their talents and creativity.  All the school students are grouped into four houses:

SATHYA (Red house) – Truth,
SHANTHI (Green house) – Peace,
SPOORTHI (Blue house) – Inspiration, and

JYOTHI (Yellow house) – Light.

A number of inter – house  competitions in Sports and Talents are conducted during the academic year. On Sports days, an array of sporting events such as Running races, Relay, Marathon, Shot-put, Khokho, Kabaddi, Volleyball,  Throw-ball and a number of fancy games like balancing the book, skipping, lemon and spoon races are also conducted.
Talents Day is organised for all the classes. Students participate in  various events like classical and folk dances, group dance, solo song, declamation, elocution, drawing and painting,  instrumental music,  vegetable carving, cooking without fire, debates and quizzes.

The winners are awarded medals and certificates and the houses get points based on the competitions. A Rolling Trophy for Sports and Cultural talents is awarded to the winning house.
